Who We Are
We are Caralyne and Derek, partners in everything
As Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, our mission is to support individuals like you in improving your emotional well-being and nurturing healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Our Vision
We worked independently as therapists for years, bringing compassionate and dependable care to people in need within our community. In 2022 we decided to realize our dream of working together as partners in building Arrival from the ground up, with you in mind.
Through Arrival, we aim to challenge ourselves to be the best therapists we can be, to give ourselves the flexibility to be real people with you, and, most importantly, to offer you the best client care possible.
We value collaboration and healthy communication in our personal and professional life together, and we believe that our partnership gives us a unique advantage in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. We believe that, together, we can create space for collaborative mental health care that has a genuine impact. We long to see a better world for all of us, where we can find ways to do more than just get by.
In this spirit, we invite you to join us in a therapeutic journey that values authenticity, mutual respect, and growth. It is our honor to accompany you on your path towards emotional healing and relationship transformation. Welcome to Arrival. You are not alone, and your journey begins here.

There is no shame in being a “work in progress.” Each of us is one — myself included. I am a human being just like you, and I am here to say that it is okay to be where you are. It is okay to ask for help. Therapy is a unique and sacred space in which there is no judgment, only room to explore the origins and outcomes of your struggles. Whether those struggles be in areas of identity, self-worth, depression, anxiety, relationships, trust, boundaries, illness, loss, transitions, or spirituality, I am here to help you make meaning of whatever it is that troubles you.
If you feel that you have lost all hope, you may borrow mine. If your burdens are too heavy to bear alone, you may share their weight with me. If you are stuck in survival mode, I’d like to help you find a way to thrive.
Sometimes our happiness is hindered by the lies we believe about ourselves or our loved ones. We see evidence of this in our daily lives at work, in our relationships with family and our children, and in our marriages. I want to help you find the truth. When we operate out of truth, our lives change in ways we never thought they could. When we have awareness about ourselves, we can actually choose to make those changes.
I want to empower you to make choices for yourself. Who do you want to be? What do you want your relationships to look like? In which direction would you like your life to go from here? No matter how impossible it seems, you can make change happen in your life — as an individual, as a couple, or for your children — for the better. You can find peace and hope again. And you don’t have to wait any longer to get started!
While I sometimes wish there was a magic pill that could heal our hearts instantly, I know that there is no quick fix. Healing takes time and effort. Therapy is a powerful process through which we can pursue wholeness and chase our potential to become our best selves. All it requires is that we are honest with ourselves and commit to doing the work. Sometimes the road is long, but the destination is absolutely worth the journey. I would love to join you in yours.
